The Bolt OR Rear sight and cam face and cover need to come off to install the Integrabase. Did I ask the wrong question?Īre you saying that you removed the 'upper' part of the sight? If so, could it have been reinstalled easily? At least easier than putting the wedges, etc back on? Can you post a photo of the parts you took off? Now I have the 397 and the integrabase and see that the rear sight has to be removed to put the integrabase on. I specifically stated that I was getting a 397. Using Weaver rings I changed from an AR15 peep, a low power riflescope, and a high power riflescope in about 2 minutes.' Also you can still use iron sights if you remove the scope without removing the base.
I wouldn't think you would have any problem with the Bugbuster. 'The rear sight does not need to be removed for many applications.
'Does the rear sight have to be removed on either the 392 or 397 to use your mount?'
However, I'd rather not take them off since I may remove the scope one day. I understand that with a scope one may not need the iron sights (if you can see through the scope mounts they may be useful).
